I grew up playing sports and riding horses in Southern California as a teenager and into my early 20s. However, I was 32 the first time I ever lifted weights. I am forever thankful to have found strength training and will share a little bit of my story with you.

I used to be the girl who never really loved my body but had just kind of settled for the fact that there was nothing I could do to change it. It seemed I always wanted to lose 5-15 pounds or just carry less body fat and have my shape look different.

Like many of my clients, my go-to solutions when I would once again attempt to lose fat or shape up for a few weeks would be to go running, work out to an exercise DVD, or cut back on eating — only to cave to cravings later in the day. I used to jump on whatever the latest fad diet was at the time only to realize two things: it wasn’t sustainable long-term and it didn’t change my body composition.

I was missing the critical component of strength training. The cardio floor of the gym was the only section I had stepped foot in.

One fateful day, as I headed up to my treadmill, I hesitantly agreed to the free personal training session they had been hounding me about. The rest is history — I’ve been consistently in the gym lifting weights since that moment.

That, combined with a lot of education on proper nutrition, energy balance, and the purpose of different macronutrients in the body, has empowered me to lose body fat, build muscle, and completely change the way I look. Not only have I seen the shape of my body change before my eyes, but I am stronger and have a ton of energy that fuels the rest of my life.

Today my mission is to share that knowledge with my clients and give them the tools and skills to reach their health and fitness goals.

My personalized training and nutrition programs are tailored to each client’s specific needs and lifestyle, resulting in long-lasting changes that can be sustained indefinitely.

I specialize in training for strength, building muscle, fat loss, and body composition goals, and work with people at all levels of fitness.
